Revid is for Shorts. Autotube is for the long ones.

Revid generates and auto-posts short vertical videos to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. Autotube makes the long-form videos a faceless channel earns its watch time from.

Which one to buy.

Revid: Shorts and TikToks on autopilot, with an API an agent can drive. Best for: A short-form operation that wants volume, scheduling and programmatic access, rather than a long-form channel.

These two tools are not really competitors. Revid generates short vertical videos and publishes them to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube on a schedule; Autotube generates horizontal long-form videos and hands you a file. If your channel is Shorts, buy Revid. If your channel is hour-long narration, Revid is not going to get you there and the rest of this page explains why.

The thing to be careful about is the 30 minutes Revid mentions. It is an API capability rather than a long-form product with research and script structure behind it, and a short-form generator permitted to run for half an hour is a different thing from a pipeline designed around an hour of narration. Autotube researches the topic, writes up to 45,000 words to the channel's brief, narrates it as one continuous piece, times the visuals to that narration and renders 3 minutes to 3 hours.

Revid wins two dimensions outright and they are significant ones. It publishes for you, across three platforms, on a schedule you set once. And it exposes a public API and an MCP server, so an agent can drive it with no human in the loop — which is a genuinely different way to operate a content business, and something Autotube does not offer at all.

Revid on credits, quoted from their site on 20 September 2026: “Credits do not roll over at subscription renewal. When your subscription renews, your credits will be reset to the amount allocated per your subscription plan, regardless of how many credits you had remaining from the previous period.”

Revid on refunds, quoted from their site on 20 September 2026: “Subscriptions are generally non-refundable. However, refunds may be granted at our discretion if: (1) less than 10% of the subscription credits have been used, and (2) the payment was made within the last 30 days.”

6 differences worth reading about.

A table says "30 minutes". What it cannot say is what a ceiling does to a channel, which plan you would really be on, or where Revid is the better buy.

  1. 1

    Vertical clips, or horizontal long-form

Format is not a preference, it is the business model. Short vertical video buys reach and rarely buys watch time; long horizontal video buys watch time and carries mid-roll advertising. A channel's economics follow from which one it publishes, and a tool built for one is not a slower version of a tool built for the other — it is a different machine.

    Revid
Revid is short-form vertical, from a prompt, a script or a link, and everything around it follows from that: auto-publishing to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, a library of short videos to remix, avatars and face swaps, and Auto-Mode workers that keep producing.
Autotube is horizontal long-form and nothing else. No vertical output, no Shorts, no clipping. What it does instead is take a title through research, script, narration, timed visuals and a single render of up to three hours.

Neither — this is a fork, not a ranking. Plenty of channels need both, and the honest recommendation is often to run one of each rather than to pick a winner.

  2. 2

What “up to 30 minutes” actually means

Long-form is the feature every tool in this category has now added to its list, so the useful question is what sits behind the number. An hour of narration needs research, a script structured to hold attention across that hour, narration generated as one piece, and visuals timed to it. A generator that will emit thirty minutes if asked has answered a technical question, not a production one.

    Revid
Revid mentions up to 30 minutes through its API. We have quoted that as a capability rather than a product, because everything else about the tool — the credit budgets, the Auto-Mode workers, the publishing targets, the remix library — is arranged around short vertical clips.
Autotube's three-hour ceiling is the shape of the whole pipeline: the research pass exists because a long script needs material, the script is written to the target runtime, and the render is a single pass rather than a concatenation.

Ours, and this dimension is the reason the length rows on this page should be read carefully rather than compared as two numbers.

  3. 3

    Who publishes the video

The distance between a finished file and a published video looks trivial and is not. Multiplied by a daily posting schedule across three platforms it becomes the majority of the operational work, and automating it is worth more than most features on any list.

    Revid
Revid auto-publishes to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube on a schedule, runs three Auto-Mode workers on Growth and ten on Ultra, and watches channels you nominate for viral ideas so the topic pipeline is automated too. This is the product's core strength.
Autotube renders a publish-ready file and stops. No scheduler, no publishing integration, no social accounts connected. For one long video a week that is a few minutes of work; at Revid's cadence it would be a job.

Theirs, decisively. Publishing automation is a category of capability Autotube does not have.

  4. 4

    Driving it from code

Some operators do not want a tool, they want an endpoint — a way to wire video generation into a pipeline that already exists, or to let an agent run the whole loop on a schedule nobody watches. Whether a product exposes that surface decides whether it can be part of a system or only a destination.

    Revid
Revid exposes a public API and an MCP server, so an agent can generate and publish without a human in the loop. Very few tools in this category offer that, and it is a real differentiator rather than a checkbox.
Autotube is an application. There is no public API and no MCP server for external callers, so the pipeline runs from the app rather than from your code.

Theirs, unambiguously. If programmatic access is a requirement, this comparison ends here.

  5. 5

What happens to unused credits, and what you can get back

Between them, the expiry clause and the refund clause decide the cost of being wrong. They are also the two places where a pricing page and a terms page most often diverge, which is why both are worth reading before a card is charged.

    Revid
Revid's terms are clear and strict: credits do not roll over at renewal and are reset to the plan's allocation regardless of what remained. Refunds are generally unavailable and may be granted at their discretion if less than 10% of credits have been used and the payment was within the last 30 days.
Autotube credits roll over while you are subscribed and expire 30 days after the subscription ends — a stated rule rather than anyone's discretion.

Ours on what happens to an unused balance. Note the shape of their refund condition, though: generating enough video to judge the tool is exactly what puts you past the 10% threshold.

  6. 6

Voice, and keeping a channel sounding like itself

A recognisable voice is most of what a returning audience recognises. For long-form it is more than branding — an hour in an unfamiliar synthetic voice is an hour nobody finishes — and whether cloning is available on the plan you can afford is therefore a practical question rather than a luxury one.

    Revid
Revid offers voice cloning on Ultra at $199. The Hobby and Growth plans at $39 do not include it, so a cloned voice is a fivefold jump in monthly cost.
Voice cloning is included on every Autotube plan, and each of up to ten channel presets carries its own narration voice, script register and visual style so the tenth upload matches the first.

Ours, both on availability and on where it sits in the price list.

What you gain over Revid.

Every line here is a difference against the rows and policies quoted above, not a feature list.

  • 3 minutes to 3 hours on every plan, from a researched script of up to 45,000 words, narrated as one continuous piece. Revid's 30 minutes is an API capability on a tool tuned for short vertical clips.

  • Autotube researches the topic before writing, and writes to the target runtime. Revid works from a prompt, a script or a link, which is the right input for a sixty-second clip and not for an hour.

  • Autotube credits roll over while you are subscribed and expire 30 days after the subscription ends. Revid's terms state that credits do not roll over at renewal and are reset regardless of the balance remaining.

  • Cloning is included from the cheapest Autotube plan. Revid puts voice cloning on Ultra at $199, five times its $39 entry price.

  • Each channel keeps its own brief, voice and visual grammar. Revid's equivalent is Auto-Mode workers, which are throughput rather than identity.

  • A stated rule rather than a discretionary one: Autotube credits roll over while you are subscribed and expire 30 days after the subscription ends. Revid's terms reset credits to the plan's allocation at renewal, whatever was left.

  • The Own Keys plan runs the pipeline against your Google, OpenAI and ElevenLabs accounts. Revid's pricing page does not mention bringing your own keys.

Where Revid genuinely wins.

We make Autotube, and these are real. If one of them is the thing you need, buy Revid — we would rather you read this page once and trust it than switch and regret it.

  • It publishes across three platforms on a schedule

TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, automatically, with three Auto-Mode workers on Growth and ten on Ultra. Autotube has no scheduler and no publishing integration of any kind, so at short-form cadence Revid is not merely better here — it is the only one of the two that works.

  • A public API and an MCP server

An agent can drive Revid end to end with nobody in the loop. Autotube has no public API and no MCP surface for external callers, so if video generation has to be wired into a system you already run, Revid can be and we cannot.

  • It finds the ideas as well as making the videos

Revid watches channels you nominate for viral ideas and remixes a library of short videos. Autotube's ideation works from your own channel's analytics, which is useless if you do not have a channel yet — theirs is not.

  • Avatars and face swaps

Both are core Revid features and neither exists in Autotube. For formats built around a presenter or a recognisable face, that difference is the entire product.

How this comparison was made.

We make Autotube, so this page is not neutral and does not pretend to be. What it is instead is checkable: every price, cap and policy attributed to another company was read from that company's own pricing or terms page on the date printed beside it, and every link goes to the live source rather than to a screenshot of it.

There are no affiliate links on this site and no sponsored placements, so nothing here is written to earn a commission on where you land, and nothing on this page was paid for by anybody named on it.

Every tool named here carries a stated flaw, ours included, and where another tool is the better answer for the job you actually have, the page says so. A page claiming we win every row would be exactly as useful to you as the ones claiming it about themselves.

There are no scores and no star ratings here, on anyone's product. A number implies a methodology, and a number a company attaches to its own competitor is worth even less than that. What these pages give you instead is what each tool caps, what it charges and what it refuses to do — each of them checkable in one click.

Where the other company's own wording decides something — a credit rule, a cap, a refund policy — this page quotes it rather than paraphrasing it, and prints the page it was quoted from beneath the table. If the thing you need is in their column, buy theirs.

Prices in this category move fast, and the cheapest plan a pricing page advertises is not always the cheapest plan that does the whole job. The plan cards above show every tier either product sells, so you can compare the plan you would actually be on rather than the one the headline quotes.

What we could not verify

Every figure attributed to Revid on this page was read from their own pages on 20 September 2026. These are the questions those pages did not answer, left open rather than estimated:

  • — We could not establish whether Revid offers a free tier: their own pages disagree about it, so this page states nothing rather than repeating one of two contradictory claims. Check it on their site before assuming either way.
  • — Their Growth plan was shown at $39, marked down from $99, and we could not establish whether that is a permanent price or a promotion. The figure quoted here is the one displayed on the date printed on this page.
  • — Their pricing page says nothing about bringing your own API keys. We have also not tested the API's 30-minute capability, so the note about it is a reading of how the product is positioned rather than a measurement.

And the flaw on our side

It makes no Shorts and no vertical video, and its editor is built for adjusting a finished run rather than for craft: no colour grading, no keyframes, no multiplayer. It is one founder's product rather than a company with a support rota, there is no free plan to poke at before you subscribe, and a three-hour render takes real minutes on real hardware — the pipeline is honest about that up front rather than pretending an hour of video is instant.

Revid carries its own, stated above: It is tuned for short-form, and the 30 minutes it mentions is an API capability rather than a long-form product with scripting behind it. Credits reset at every renewal, and refunds are discretionary — under 10% of credits used, inside 30 days.
