Ideation

Generate ranked title ideas for a channel from the videos that already work on it and on the competitors you track.

Ideation turns channels into titles. It analyses real YouTube videos — your own and your competitors' — and proposes titles for the channel you picked. The segmented control at the top of the page switches between Generate ideas and Competitor outliers.

Generate ideas

  1. Pick a Channel. Its saved competitors appear as chips under Sources, along with the YouTube channel it is connected to.
  2. Select the sources to analyse. Paste any YouTube channel URL and click Add channel to add one that is not saved. Up to five sources at a time.
  3. Choose the Idea types: All-time popular draws on each source's historical best performers, Trending on recent videos that performed well. At least one must be ticked.
  4. Set Number of ideas — 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30.
  5. Click Generate 10 ideas (the button names the count you chose).

Advanced settings holds three extras: a Model to generate with, a View count threshold that sets how many views a source video needs before it counts, and Custom requirements, up to 400 characters of free-text steering such as an audience or a tone.

The channel's Channel brief also feeds this — see Channels.

Results

Ideas arrive under All-time popular topics and Trending topics, each with the Example videos analyzed that produced them. The bookmark icon on an idea saves the title for later. Every previous run for the channel is listed below the form and can be reloaded, form settings and all.

Turn an idea into a project

Click Use on an idea. The Use Idea dialog offers three routes:

  • Create one-shot video — runs the whole pipeline from this title. See Pipeline overview.
  • Create Script — opens the script step with the title filled in. See Script.
  • Rewrite title with AI... — generates variations, then pick the one you want before choosing a route.
