Video Editor

Open a project's visuals and voiceover on a timeline, adjust the cut, add overlays and captions, then render again.

The video editor is a timeline over work the pipeline already produced. It does not replace the Render step — it gives you a place to change the cut before rendering it again.

Open the Video Editor. The toolbar has three pickers — Project, Media Run and Voiceover — which decide what the timeline is built from. Changing the media run or the voiceover builds a separate set of edits, so switching back and forth loses nothing.

The timeline

Rows run down the left: Main Video Track for the scene clips, Voiceover, a music track, and any overlay tracks you add (up to three). Above them sits a ruler with chapter markers and a strip of beats taken from the voiceover, so you can line a cut up with a sentence.

  • Drag a clip to move it; drag its edge to trim it.
  • Drag the playhead to scrub; the transport buttons play, pause and skip to start or end.
  • Zoom with the slider, or Fit full timeline.
  • Each track header adds things at the playhead: Add graphic at playhead, Add overlay at playhead, Add text overlay at playhead.

Select a clip or overlay and the inspector on the right edits just that one.

Media, subtitles and style

The left rail holds four sections. Media is the project's asset bin — drag an asset onto the timeline, or Add media to upload your own image or video. Subtitles picks a Style preset and can write captions from the voiceover with Generate AI captions at Minimal, Normal or Dense density. Project style sets a Style preset for the whole timeline. Green Screen turns on composite mode, which replaces the main track with a foreground and a B-roll track.

Templates are the motion graphics and clip effects you add from the timeline; you pick one when you add a graphic.

Render and reset

Your edits save by themselves — the toolbar shows Saving… and then Saved, and there is no save button. When the cut is right, click Render. The Confirm Render dialog lists the title, duration, resolution, frame rate and the estimated credit cost before you commit; see Credits & usage. When it finishes, Your video is ready offers Open in new tab and Download.

The gear menu has Clear all overlays and Reset timeline…, which throws away every edit for the current project, voiceover and visuals and starts again from the sources.
